Nice Tablet - sub-standard shipping

Initial impressions of the performance of the tablet are very good. The shipping was a disaster. The shipping box was split open on arrival and the packing material was completely inadequate, leaving the tablet box sliding and banging around inside the nearly empty box. The tablet seems to be OK but whoever packaged it needs some retraining.

very nice pad

I shopped for a while before purchasing this product. Very responsive and high quality. Would like more apps availabilty, but love usb, sd slots and email interface.

Great tablet

I've had it almost a month now and been using it daily without any problems. The 1 speaker isn't very good for listening to music, but a set of earbuds fixes that. The touch screen is responsive to both fingers and stylus, though I suggest a stylus(helps keep the screen clean). During boot there is some light bleeding mostly along the bottom, but once it's fully booted up the display is great without any light bleeding even when displaying black.

One fun tablet!

Got the Asus Windows 8 elsewhere first, and it was awful and returned it. Out of the box, this Asus TF700T has been a plug-and-play joy. The only feature that is not done ideally is the one-sided speaker, but not a big issue, because I amplify by USB speaker. With J & R's great prices, I got the tablet, the keyboard and a Roo case for under $600!

Still satisfied after 10 days

Lot of edge bleed upon initial start screen. Isn't aparent afterward on dark screens. Runs flawlessly except loading large PDF files from the file system. Don't like the charge connector (reminescent of 90's cell phone connectors). But all in all its a fine tablet and the pros greatly outweigh the cons.

Awesome Tablet!!

Compared to the latest gen iPad (which is nice)for me the TF700T is a much better tablet. The outstanding display, Complete UI customization, very fast CPU, micro SD expansion and built in micro HDMI port were deal breakers that ranked this well ahead of the iPad. The optional keyboard dock has a built in battery additional SD card slot and full sized USB port that makes the TF700T a functional laptop alternative. If you're looking for a very well made fast and versatile tablet look no further than the TF700T.

Asus never fails.

I always love Asus product so that was my main reason for buying it. I haven't tried many other tablets other than the Ipad but I would have to say it stands its own ground. Yes, some might say Apple is the best but I like to support the other people as well and I was not disapointed. This tablet is mainly for my mother who watches Korean Drama shows and Skype. I told her to learn how to use it on her own because I tried to teach you how to use a laptop and she fail at that. But so far, I haven't had any tablet questions at all thus shows how user friendly this thing is. From my observation, it is a nice, well-balance, more bang for your buck tablet. That's all. Tl;dr: IT. IS. GOOD.

Great High Quality ASUS Tablet

Purchased this as the only gift that my fwife and I are sharing. Excellent visuals, Fast processing, easily upgradeable memory and a great overall value! Charging unit should be micro USB and the speaker system should be improved; but I already knew this prior to purchase. BETTR than an IPAD!!!!

great product with lots of features

Really terrific product that has lots of great features. ASUS sent Android upgrade to 4.1 Jellybean latest revision within a week of purchase. Love HDMI port and micro-SD card port. Only gaff is the charger is not micro-sd but a 40 pin, this is so that it can use keyboard dock. Everyone that has seen this tablet thinks that it really sharp.

Good product but has software issues

The tablet overall is very good, however after having it for 9 days we started having lock up problems. Wasn't recognizing passwords. Went online for help and it looks like this is happening a lot. I returned it with no hassles so were waiting for the replacement.
