QS2814C is a new waterproof dustproof camera launched by Q-See especially for challenging applications at night. With 24 IR LEDS it will see clearly up to 60 ft in dark. It's waterproof and dustproof grade is up to IP48. With CCD technology, it delivers the most sophisticated technology into the most reliable and accurate color quality picture in the security industry. It's ideal for monitoring or videotaping. The package includes a 45-ft. cable to allow flexible installation. Connect the camera to any TV/VCR and start viewing or taping immediately.

Great camera for general use
I ordered this as a replacement for the same model that's been running outside in our Alberta summers and winters for over five years. Highs of 30 (Celsius) and lows of minus 30. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did. Anyway, plugged in the replacement and I'm hoping to go another five trouble free years. Daytime resolution and color could be better but they're actually pretty good for a $75 camera and I've had no trouble at all with the night vision - it illuminates out to probably 70 feet. The only issue with the night vision is the dog's eyes are fairly creepy but that would be a problem with dogs, not cameras.

very good camera
This is the second camera I bought which is the same model. It is a 4mm camera and works very well. However, the manufacturer was stating it is being obsolete. I wish the manufacturer(s) produce more camers with wider angles. 4mm lens is not bad but would be better if they can come up with wider angle. The 6mm lense is very bad, can only see a very narrow angle of image. But I guess if they make a wider angle camer then you don't have to buy too many camers.

Good in daylight; poor at night
This camera performs very well in daylight. However night time performance is poor; perhaps we expect too much since our night humidity is normally over 95%.

Exactly what I wanted
Installed the camera at my front door and it works exactly as expected. Good colour picture during the day and adequate night vision. I'm happy with it.
