Excellent Tablet-Great for Drawing

I bought this tablet primarily for note taking and drawing and for these functions it is outstanding. Drawing with AutoDesk Sketchbook is smooth and the tactile quality of the screen and stylus is excellent. There is no discernible lag in pen actions and the pressure sensitivity works wonderfully. I was surprised to see how much of a well rounded tablet this is. It is in many ways much better than the iPad. The screen colors are saturated and viewing angles are wonderful. The Android OS is mature and glitch-free. The hardware itself is well crafted with a quality feel despite the predominance of plastic in the body. So 5 stars for me. I love it.

Super Tablet

I got this tablet for Christmas. My wife got the new Ipad. I like this more that the Ipad. I have been learning as I go as I haven't had an andriod device before, but I have not had any trouble learning to use it. I love everything about it. One thing I especially like is that the speakers are on the front of the tablet which directs the sound straight at you. I still have a zillion things to learn and will give a better review after I figure it all out.I will say that my wife wishes she would have gotten the Samsung instead of the Ipad after using mine.

Great Tablet

I have purchased several tablets over the last 12 months or so. Partially for personal use and partially to test them for a project my company is working on. Two from ASUS (one Android and one Windows RT), a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 and 7, an iPad, and this Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note is the best one out of all of these, including the iPad. The pen is neat, and can be used for lots of different things, but I have not really used it much. The display is clean and bright, touch is extremely responsive, sound quality and volume is excellent, and the processor is fantastic. The plastic back seems slightly flimsy, and detracts from the overall quality perception, but I think this is a perception thing only, and there is likely a good reason they used it instead of someting more solid. In my opinion, this is the best overall tablet on the market today.

Satisfied but learning curve very steep

I am expert in Windows PC hardware and multiple software application since late 1970's but don't have an android or i-phone so found using device difficult to master. Had to download all 217 pages of the User Manual to begin to understand how to use it. Unit works well as advertised so far, and much easier to travel with than my Laptop computer. Like all new hardware and operating systems it will take some time to understand all the features. Internet was accessed easily and email connected seamlessly.

A gift given

I bought my wife this tablet based on a recommendation from my son in law. Both my wife and daughter received these and are very happy with them. My only concern is the lack of reasonably priced accessories (Cases, free standing keyboards etc) but the item itself is great.

Love My Note

I've only had it a few weeks, but it works well for me. The only thing I don't like is you can't text from it..or I haven't figured out how.

Excellent replacement for IPAD

I had been an Apple Zombie for the last 4 years. This year I upgraded my phone to Samsung G3 and liked the android environment so much I went for the Note 10.1 to replace my Ipad. I am equally impressed with the note, it has a very smooth experience and the colors are vibrant and rich. The apps are a snap and using drop box, I am syncing my docs, photos and music with ease. A couple of things I had to adjust to were converting my music from Itunes protected format to MP3. I did this using Avoniums DRM removal tool ($15). The tablet is lighter than an Ipad as it uses Gorilla Glass vs. Hard Glass for its surface. I gave it 4 stars on quality because it feels like plastic in your hand. I quickly got beyond this though and am very happy with my purchase.

is great for the casual user

is faster than last computer. andriod is easier to use and easy to learn. does everything we need it to do with no problems so far. have owned it for a month or two

First Class & Solid

I just got four of these for the Library Tech Center I administer. Very solid out the box. Easy setup. Perfect for folks that do not need a full featured Win X computer.

great performer but suspect quality...

I bought this for my wife for her birthday. She was wanting a different Pad but I hoped to sway her to go with this device. She used it for a day and said it was nice but still wanted her other tablet so I inherited this one. I have used it almost a week now and have a phone that uses the same technology so l'm familiar with that. I love everything about this tablet... from the screen resolution to the picture taking quality. The one thing I am terribly disappointed in is after just a few days of light use and no drops etc, I can hear and feel the back plastic cover creak and make noise while I hold it. I can only imagine what this thing will be sounding or feeling like after 6 months of use. I'm taking this one back to the store and going to exchange for another. If the next one does the same, then I'll probably pass on this product line until I hear it is resolved. Sam, sung, you can build better than this... get your QC under control.
