Great Monitor for Price
I have several of these monitors and they work great and I find the picture the clearest and brightest when compared to other brands and price ranges I own. This has become my standard.

Decent monitor for the price but the quality of the picture is lagging based on today's standards. Color quality was pale.

Great HD for viewing, but unsure about other thing
This is a great monitor for viewing video and photography in HD, but when I'm editing photographs or video, it looks light on my LG monitor, but really dark on other monitors, especially on the Macs at school in the Photography Lab. So it's almost as if I wish I could turn off the HD part of the monitor just for editing images and video so I know they'll look 'normal' for other monitors. I don't know how to change this. Sometimes I wish I would have gone with a regular shiny monitor and put up with the glare. Also, the base is made of plastic and quite flimsy. It wouldn't be to difficult to break the base, especially if you have kids around.
