Does not work with Lexmark forms printer 4227 plus
I'm an IT expert, and I tried everything, but I couldn't make it work with this printer. Guess I have to use an old computer just for this printer.

Problem Solved
I had purchased a new computer only allowing for USB ports. I still had an HP 1100 printer that has been just great for many years but used parallel ports. Many computer people told me there was no solution - bite the bullet and buy a new printer. Read online reviews and they seemed divided as to the chances of success. However, I ordered this adapter and it DOES solve the problem - I am very pleased.

Ok Product
Cable system work perfect with my main computer but still refuses to work with my laptop (Vista). May be a problem with Vista not sure. Will use it with my main computer for now.

It works
My mom didn't want to replace her trusty old printer although it had a few glitches. It was a hp PSC 500. I spent several hours trying to hiik up as a plug and play. I was about to give up, but then read the instructions that came with the cable and it works! The printer glitches seem to work like they did b4 as well.

Worked as expected
Bought this item to use on a newer tower that did not have an LPT port. Plugged it in, software was installed automatically. Added the printer and it worked without any issues. Saved me the trouble of locating a card and cracking open the case to install it. Great products works as advertised.

Great find!
