Happy Camper
Great price for a scanner with automatic feeder. It can scan to searchable PDF docs. Scan speed is good for 300 DPI. It is slow at higher resolutions. Noise is normal and tolerable for a compact,low price scanner. My HP 4850 was louder and it did not come with feeder. Driver and software work with my Windows 7 PC. Not sure about long term quality. But, it is good so far. Got it for over a month.

Good so far
I do not do a lot of scanning but have used this several times to scan documents to email. Scanner has worked flawlessly so far. And price is very good compared to other sheet fed scanners.

Unfortunate experience with refurbished
I am thankful I purchased the Squaretrade warranty because I have to return this scanner. From the outset it was a bad experience because the driver disk was too damaged to read. I downloaded a driver but it turns out there was more software on the disk. It took three calls to Epson support to get everything downloaded and working. The reason for returning the scanner was the horrible, intolerable screeching it made when scanning. Squaretrade will refund my money but now I have work to do but no scanner.

Excellent for the Price!
It performs as advertised which given the price exceeded my expectation. As the least expensive ADF Scanner I found in my research I'm very pleased with it's performance. If you are looking for a reliable home office use this is it. Combine that with this company's exceptional customer service and you can't go wrong.

Unexpected Downgrade from older HP scanner
This scanner was purchased to replace an HP 4850 because IT replaced my computer with a 64-bit OS & the only compatible driver for the HP 4850 was so basic, it was barely functional. Installing the Epson drivers was a pain in the butt and took significantly longer than I would have expected, including errors telling me that processes (not programs, but processes) were running that had to be shut down in order to install. The user interface is non-intuitive & lacks many of the basic features of the HP 4850. Scanning is SLOW, and the options for file management (source folders, ability to rename the file during the scan process, etc) are absent. Scan quality is good, and the equipment seems to be of good quality, but I am disappointed.
