Didn't work
I would plug the adapter in and get a plug and play error that it couldn't load the driver and would show up as an unknown device. This was a new machine with an intel motherboard flashed with latest firmware, running fully patched windows 7 pro. I call ULTRA tech support and let them walk me through doing exactly all the things I had already done before calling them. We experienced the same result. He disappeared for a few minutes and when he returned he asked me who's chipset was I running running. I responded it was Intel's H67 chipset. He said the engineers told him that model ULT40113 was not compatible with Intel chipsets...What???? I think you can guess what my response was. Mine will be returned tomorrow.

worked for me
got this cable to hook up an older HP 500 all in one printer to a new HP PC. the only trouble I had was getting the pc to recognize the printer, had to get driver from hp website for win 7. glad to have the old printer working again!!

Can't Recommend
I can't recommend this product because it did not work for us. Had a receipt printer that could not get to work for the life of me. Wound up ordering another printer that was USB and worked fine. Do not purchase if you are using this for a receipt printer.

Good Product
Ordered this to connect my parallel port Laser printer to my new win 7 desktop. The product is fine but the stupid win 7 64 bit OS says it doesn't recognize the printer and the printer manufacturer says that it is not compatible with win 7. So, what's new? The companies want you to buy a $5000 printer but does not want to support the evolving idiosyncrasy of new OS.

Plug and Play
I ordered this cable to connect a new HP tower, running Windows 7, to my old HP LaserJet printer. I was expecting to have to mess around with drivers or with getting the system to recognize the printer but there was none of that. Plug and Play with no problems. What a relief.

Didn't work
I have an epson 2200 printer & was steared in this direction by salesperson for this printer cable. It didn't work.
