Very Convenient
Exactly as described. Great product. I'm now able to use multiple old hard drives for backup and storage without having to connect them internally. I've eliminated my need for a hot-swap doc with this device.

The calbe worked for about 2 seconds and then died
I bought the cable to get data off of a hard drive that had been dropped. As soon as I plugged the cable in the green light went on for 2 seconds and then died. I had to send it back. I must have gotten a bad one. I didn't get another one.

Worked Perfectly!
worked perfectly! Did exactly what I needed. Does not work with Windows 7-tried that. Does not work on computer that doesn't have internet-tried that. But worked perfectly on my computer with Windows XP with internet to get my much needed files off my crashed hard drive from another computer with Windows XP and internet. Saved me $70 + more dollars from taking it to a professional to have done. Thanks! I recommend!

aggravating
the ide connector will not stay plugged and my windows 7 pc doesn't recognize. will try the sata connection and let you know.

Great Little Product
After going through several computers, I have a lot of hard drives sitting around. This device lets me use them! Many of them are bad, and are no longer of any use. I am sure I will collect some more drives along the way and get good use out of it.

Not as good as it looks
The concept is an excellent one, and I have seen it executed by other companies than Ultra - the one I purchased. This one is not all that good, and involves too many cables, and the like. I will definitely try a different one.

A great investment
Works great, has everything you need to convert any internal hard drive into an external. I needed one of these for awhile for my business so that I could recover data from clients computers more easily and it works exactly as I anticipated.
