The Logitech 960-000048 QuickCam Pro 9000 web camera is fitted with a 2-megapixel sensor with autofocus and a built-in microphone. It features Carl Zeiss optics that provides you with crisp, high-resolution images and videos. Its microphone is equipped with RightSound Technology, which eliminates echo and feedback that is often created by a microphone and speakers that are in close proximity. That way, you won't have the need for a headset. You can also add creativity while you communicate with your friends or prepare a video presentation with Logitech Video Effects. It is an application that recognizes facial features and maps them so you could create three-dimensional animated characters or two-dimensional face accessories. It even has downloadable fun-to-use filters that let you add video effects like fisheye, black-and-white effect, neon and more.
Taking high-definition 960x720-pixel or 1600x1200-pixel videos with the QuickCam Pro 9000 results to razor-sharp shots whether it is close-up or from a good distance. You can also take photographs with a resolution of up to 8 megapixels. Taking the web camera outdoors will never be a hassle because it comes with an adjustable attachment, a universal monitor clip for any kind of notebook or desktop PC. Nice resolution and performance for such compact camera. I bought 2, I use one for a security camera. I've had no issues with compatibility with any IM client, VLC, or other web cam utilities.
One thing to note is the HD resolution (960x720) is only avaliable using 15fps or 10fps. At higher frame rates, the camera will crop and upscale the image. |

Nice compact webcam. Easy to use. Got two, one for me and one for my lady friend who lives 250 miles from my home. Now we can see each other instead of just talking on the phone. Would recommend to anyone who wants a quality webcam. |

I've been using a web cam for many, many years and this one is the Best! The avatars make my 7 yr old giggle for days. My wife can see my 5 o'clock shadow and I'm blonde! I even use the onboard mic with my text to speech program. I held off getting this when it was 129 dollars. When it went on sale with another logitech mid range cam for 89, I jumped on it. Now it's 69 dollars! If you're looking for a webcam, it doesn't get any better than this one. It has all the bells and whistles there is and work well. it works with all IM programs too. |

Picture quality is awesome, however sound quality could be improved, often the other party cannot hear you well. Features are ok, but they are not rapidly accessible, like zoom and pan. Regarding price, I believe it is a bit too expensive. |
