Decent hard drive, decent price
I've always be somewhat of a fan of Western Digital drives since I've always had good experience with them. This one behaved well and seemed to provide decent performance. The price wasn't bad considering that PATA drives are on their way out and will soon be obsolete technology. Just glad they are still available.

Revived My Latitude D610
Though rather expensive for the size, this 80GB hard drive gave my D610 a new lease on life. Acronis Migrate Easy flawlessly cloned the original hard drive. Once copied, it was plug and play. I have kept the computer running continuously for a couple of weeks to give the hard drive a chance to reveal any flaws. So far, so good. It is quiet and cool-running (with a chill pad). It looks like I'll have my old reliable D610 for a while longer.

Great upgrade
I was given an HP Compaq tablet (before tablets were super thin and 'cool') and the upgrade went smooth. Fast response and quiet.

Great replacement hard drive
Replaced My failing hard drive in My HP ze4420us laptop, very painless repair job, I had a set of system restore CDs, doubled the drive capacity of My old drive that said it had imminent drive failure warning at boot up, runs much faster also,got it to Me lightning fast, ordered late Saturday night and it was on my door step on Tuesday, I could not be any happier with the results!

Works great
I put this in an old Dell Inspiron 2650. Hard drive is recognized without a problem. Runs much quieter than the old 20gb, less heat. Battery lasts about 25 min longer. Laptop is more snappy. Just have to remove the pin adapter from the old hard drive and put it on the new one before installing in the hard drive caddy.

Best EIDE Drive
WD's drive never disappoint you. It's fit into my 4 years old Toshiba notebook and perfoms even better than before. The only drawdack is it's a little bit expensive in terms of dollar per gigabyte since it's outdated interface.

Just as good as the other WD 80GB ATA 2.5
Last month I bought the exact same product with a different SKU. Now this is the *all new* Scorpio Blue. (sarchastic: OOH! AAH!). It works the same as the old one. Which is good. I liked the one I bought last month and wanted another. I just have to laugh at the ID change (for no apparent reason).

I bought one of these a couple of years ago for my PowerBook G3 and have never had problems with it. Offline reviews say the drive is noisy, but I found it just as quiet as other 5400 rpm drives. A great buy if you want to upgrade your ancient laptop.
