Great purchase for the price
So far, so good. The intallation was very simple and the modem has been working perfectly. It has replaced the provided modem given to me by Comcast (Xfinity) which they were charging me $7.00 each month to use. Their model was old and out-dated, so now I am saving that money and have upgraded quality. I would recommend this to everyone who is currently using a provided modem.

Very good product
I hooked it up, turned it on and no configuration was necessary other then providing the cable company with the MAC address of the device. It doesn't really have any features (doesn't need any), just unplug it and plug it back in to turn it off and on. You will want a router to go with it so you can share your internet connection with multiple devices and have wireless. I have had some cable internet problems, but every time it was a Mediacom cable company problem and not my equipment.

Good value
Be patient with your broadband provider, it took a week to get up and running. In the end, it's well worth the hassle, better to own than to rent and improved internet speeds. I can save $25 a month.
