Everything I hoped it would be.

I have had this laptop now for about 3 months but I have had my eye on these asus laptops for a few years now. My wife allowed me to pull the plug and I could not be happier. It is EXACTLY what I wanted and perhaps more. I purchased this rascal for games like Star Wars the Old Republic, Guild Wars 2 and it plays both games on max (minus v-sync)beautifully. It maxes Torchlight 2, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. My only 2 issues with the laptop are out of the box the bottom part of the screen had to be snapped back into place and like everyone else who writes a review, the keys sometimes do not register but it seems to be getting better over time. So far in this review I have had zero keys not register. It is quiet and heat free. Beautiful design and feel to it. I love the backlit keyboard. I am very pleased with this product.

great package

so i waited 4 weeks befor i wrote this review i really wanted to test it well fris. i play eve online and world of tanks. on time warren RR stander 20 mbps 1 mbps it plays both game with an adv ping of 15 and at 85 fps. very smooth. blue ray is great the power is good runs catia well. passmark system proformance test rates at:2366 system, cpu 8001, gpu 1711, ram 1998, hard drive 742 the package has an ROA Black backpack with ROA gaming mouse 7 button

Excellent deal on a powerful machine

This is one of the best deals on a gaming machine you can find. I'm very happy with the purchase - my only quibble is the sound on the G75VW isn't the best. Otherwise, this machine flies on all the latest games (Skyrim, DIshonored, Max Payne 3, etc.), it looks great and it's comfortable to use thanks to its soft touch plastic palm rest. Highly recommended.

Great Machine!

This machine is hands down the most powerful computer I have ever owned - so far it has taken everything I have put it through, all the while remaining very cool, something my previous machine could not do. All this does come with the price of size - this machine is very large, limiting it's portability; however, considering that this was not the main factor when deciding to buy this machine, it is not much of a con. Upgrading to Windows 8 was relatively painless (although there seems to be several Windows 8 drivers offered through the ASUS website that do not seem to be completely necessary). The bag that it comes with is a little small, but holds the computer and power adapter very nicely (but don't expect it to hold much more than that). Speaking of the power adapter, this is very large as well - it's almost twice the size of what I consider to be a 'normal adapter'. Other than that, the machine works very well, and I hope it will last me a couple years.

An Asus gaming laptop has been on my wish list for a long time. Got an excellent deal and I could not be happier with the computer. It's a great machine!

Nice machine

I bought this laptop as a desktop replacement. So far, it's done everything I've asked of it. Although, my demands haven't been high thus far. Wireless connectivity is much better than my old PC in the same location. The only strange quirk is that although I have external speakers plugged into the jack, the PC sometimes switches back to the built-in speakers. It switches back if you adjust the volume but it's a bit of a pain.... The gaming mouse has taken some time to get used to as well and I can't find any way to disable the extra buttons. Ultimately, I'd recommend this PC to a friend.

Exceeds my excpectations

Nice Laptop

Awesome laptop. if you can afford it. works great, super fast, reliable. Kinda heavy though. screens nice and large. overall works perfect.

Satisfied so far

Im reluctant to sing praises to soon, but so far I have been very happy. It seems to be well built. It is heavy, so dont plan to haul it around all day. It runs smoothly and quickly. I have played one game on it just to try it out and it ran great. The battery life isnt great, so plan to plug it in regularly. It does run cool so you can hold it on your lap. I am happy but havent owned it but about a month. If it contuinues to run as well as it does now, I will be fully happy with my purchase. So far, I am very happy.
