Does Not Help
I have a Toshiba that I won that can pick my signal up anywhere in the house and strongly! However my son has an Acer that needed a little pick me up! This definitely was not worth the trouble or money! No improvement over the on-board wireless hardware! I was very disappointed; but what can I say! After hitting 100's on everything else I have bought; this was bound to happen sooner or later! I would look at a different brand if looking to do it over again!

Better than expected
Easy to install - works well with D-link router. Only caveat is do not let the software manage the connection; use windows instead, you may have to start the Wireless Zero Configuration service by rt clicking my computer, manage, lt click services. Other than that I am getting 270 Mbps where I was only getting 36Mbps with my old Linksys wireless G card.
