Kingwin 3.5'' SATA Internal Hot Swap Rack Rocks!

I bought two for my new server with two 1TB barracuda drives (setting them up as RAID 1 configuration). Easy setup. Works great. Connections are fast and it's quiet! Great value for the money.

Good Quality

I have older versions of these, these are much sturdier and easier to use,quicker swap and access. very pleased!

It's worth it

It does what it's supposed to but only at SATA 2 (I wish it was SATA 3). What people have said about not being tool-less friendly is true for my Corsair Graphite Series 600T, but thankfully the 600t also has screw holes. Hot plug is enabled on my mainboard, but using this rack for hot swap can be a bit finicky. I'm using windows 7 64bit Ultimate and some times the hotswap works and other times it doesn't.

One Drawback

Cannot do a hot swap running Windows XP Professional SP-3

I Love This Rack

Everything you need is in the box. Install it as directed and go. It is especially great in a Win 7 unit with hot-swap capabilities. You can change SATA hard drives without shutting down the computer. The hot swap feature did not work on either my XP-64 or XP Pro systems so I had to turn off the computer in order to use a different drive each time. Still, not a bad thing. I am a Karaoke fan and have three of these racks and move my music and Karaoke program from one computer to another without having to purchase 3 installs of the program. Also use the rack for my backup HDDs. I back up the whole main drives once a month and keep the back-ups boxed and safe incase I ever need them. Then I just swap out the whole drive and don't have to worry about having to reinstall all my programs along with windows. With the price of 1TB hard drives so low, it is a cost effective solution to backup

Great for the Price

I bought three of these to use as hot swaps for my server and two client computers. This rack preforms as expected. As others have stated when you open the door it starts ejecting the hard drive. This works great for me as I suffer from sasuage fingers and the little inch to inch and a half of hard drive sticking out gives me something to hang on to. As another reviewer reported there are some issues with mating screw holes in tool-less cases. I think that speaks more about the case and less about the drive rack. Installation in my two other traditional cases was a snap. The only thing I've noticed is that the drives run hot if left in the rack overnight ( I don't allow my drives to spin down). Again I think this speaks more to my setup than the rack.

Great Value

Very Good Product for the money, if you don't need a drive caddy. I use this as an easy backup drive just pop in the drive and your good to go. Also works well for my linux drive.

Plug'n play

just hook to your computer and you can plug in and plug out any hard drive anytime without shutdown your computer. The price is reasonable compare to other.

Works great

I bought four of these for the four computers in my house. A great method to back up your computer and put the drive in a safe place.
