Frequently loses connection... which is no good since I had hard drives plugged into it. The USB plugs are too shallow so a little wiggle and they'll disconnect. Further I don't like the layout of the ports, using all the plugs sends cords going every which direction. The card reader slots are shallow too, and while I haven't yet, it'd be easy to accidentally bend CF pins.

I bought this because my newer camera is using a SDHC card and I wanted to be able to read the card without the camera plugged in. Also, I chose this model over the $19 model because of the 3 USB ports. You can plug in 4 different memory cards/ USB flash drives and move files from one to another too. This device when active in XP shows up as 4 Drives ie.(E,F,G,H) Note: it does come with a power brick but I have not used it. |

I got an IOGear cardreader / usb hub a few months ago and never could get it to read any cards this cardreader / usb hub works great (vista ready very true)... Im very glad I got this one |

Bought this about 3 months ago to make it easier to transfer pictures between a few different cameras/frames. It worked perfectly for what I needed. As in it read/wrote to different cards.
The layout of the device is terrible though. The 360 degrees layout may force you to spin the unit around to get various cards plugged in. The problem is that you have 2 cords (power and usb to pc) always coming out of the device making it more difficult to get around.
All in all..works but is poorly laid out. |

Does the job but has cable and media connections on all four sides making for a sloppy desktop. I had to install with an extra long cable so I could pull it close and rotate to use. Cannot read input lables without reading glasses. |
