I was very impressed with the price and the quality of this TV. I've owned it for 3 days now and am still riding the 'New TV' high. And probably will for months to come. I haven't noticed any motion blur, the menu was easy to navigate after 10 minutes of experimenting. And the sharpness/clarity was very impressive. I am an audiophile and I was impressed with speakers (but I still hooked it up to my sound system). I highly recommend this TV. Plus the price can't be beat.
I have a 747i purchased from tigersirect. It started to having problems after 6 months and syntaxbrilian is refusing to honor the warranty.... all they do is tell me their warranty department is still validating my receipt. I gave them a copy of my receipt and 2 months later still no support. Doesn't return calls or answer emails.
Buy it if you want but don't expect support!
Awesome Set!! Direct TV in HD is unbelievable. Standard def channels are good. Set has a !/4'' glass front that you can clean with Windex. My only beef is there is no manual with the set. It refers you to an on-line manual which is OK. I called the tech support for help and she did have an accent but was very nice and she got me working quick. A++++ Don't even think about the S's Samsung Sony Sharp. Not even close in quality.
Had this TV 747i for over 6 months now and just loving it. More than enough inputs. No problems out of the box. Recommended this TV to 5 other people around the same time I bought it and they've bought one and had no problems. It's still a great value for the money even though the ''name brands'' are coming down in price. This one is still much cheaper and much better than the other offerings.
This is a awesome tv! Granted its a little on the heavy side but hey you get a awesome glass screen saver! The picture ranks up there with my sont 1080 that I have in a another room just half the cost! I hooked mine into dish netweork becuase I feel they have a great HD signal and channels and the qulity on this tv with the dish blows my friends away! I like the simple straight forward remote and the menu scrolls arent that hard to get used to just different than the american norm so sometimes it takes awhile for people to adjust to new styles/technology. I will buy another one if they come back into stock!
