No plastic clips to break, stays in place!
I had to replace my fan because the plastic clips broke or kept coming loose. Take the time to remove the mother board and screw this fan into place and then you will not have to worry about overheating!

Simple, basic cooling
Typical backplate install. Perfect replacement for a dead stock cooler. Cools my Core 2 Quad Q6700 better than the stock fan. Fairly quiet, even under load.

2 Years in and working Great
I bought this to do a low budget rebuild of an old machine 2 years ago. It was easy to install and has had no problems ever since. It's cooling a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo - no complaints.

Easy to install, works like a champ
I've installed two of these cooling fans in the last couple of months. Both times the installation process was quick and easy, 10 minutes from box to done. I ordered fresh thermal paste and my machine stabilized immediately after having had months of intermittent hangs. The product is solid.

Great price and overall satisfaction
I replaced the fan that came with a T5212 with this. The old fan was ridiculously loud, and according to SpeedFan, wasn't doing the job it should have been. That problem appears to have been remedied with the new Masscool. Installation was relatively easy. The spring-loaded screws were a bit annoying but such is their nature. Everything lined up and there's good heat transfer, which is what matters. Let's just say that it's been running for well over a month now, is fairly quiet, and the CPU hasn't died, which it may well have done with the old fan.

So far so good. I am using this cooler with a Q6700. It came with with some thermal grease pre applied. So i used some alcohol to clean that stuff off and i used OCZ Freeze and my temps never get above 32c or 38c under extremely heavy load. It looks like i have enough left for about 10 more applications. Excellent cooler if running stock speeds. I haven't overclocked yet. At the moment my core temps are CPU 30C - Core #1 29C Core #2 29C Core #3 29C Core #4 25C

CPU Cooling Fan
I have always found the Masscool products to be reliable. But another fan I had on my mother board became lose due to the plastic screws breaking off. So I switched to this one which allows metal screws to secure to via the bottom of the board. Good value and very reliable
