Good Product For a Good Price
Great product, and while the computer only has USB2 ports, it works well, and once I upgrade the computer to USB3, this drive will really shine.

Great External Hard Drive for the price
I purchased this external hard dive to upgrade from a Toshiba 250 GB to this Seagate 1 TB. Selected this Seagate unit primarily based on the Seagate brand recognition and that it was on sale. Instructions leave a lot for improvement, but hook-up & start-up are really quite simple. Operation is easy enough. Unit is doing daily backups automatically with no problems. Only Complaint: could use a longer USB cable.

So far so good
This is my first external hard drive, my first USB hard drive, and my first TB hard drive. So I don't have a lot to compare it to. My intent was to plug it in, back up my 3 PC's, unplug it and store it safely. So far it is just hooked up and backs up files as they are modified or added.

Excellent external HD option.
Excellent price, small, good capacity. Only thing that I would add to this drive is a longer cable and a case to take care of it. Love Seagate products.

Real good buy
Works great. Very good value. Very small and compact. The software is not as good as the hardware, but I did not buy it for the software.

Works on Linux too
I bought this for quick, casual back-ups. However, I don't do Windoz or Macintosh, I do Linux and it just works, though you can't make much use of the automated back-up software included. No matter, that's not why I bought it.
