excellent buy
I couldn't believe this was going for such a low price. Had for 2 months now and it works with perfect performance. I use it on my laptop and on my Blu Ray player. Worth the buy great deal.

Great Product
Served the purpose of added storage and backup of Windows 7. I don't have USB 3.0 so it's slower on my system than it would otherwise be. Very quiet. So far, so good. Bought two year square trade warranty along with it.

Works Just Fine
Got it quick, plugged it in, and started transferring files. Love the USB 3.0 speed. Doesn't run hot (as I've noticed in some others comments) and for the price and service, was a great deal!

Was told for Mac & PC but really ONLY PC!
My only frustration is I was told this was good for mac and PC and it is not. So in my case kind of a waste of money.

Meets my objectives
I ordered two 2TB ext drives, one for music backup and one to backup three machines. Set up was easy and clean, Hds worked as anticipated. To take advantage of the USB 3.0 feature of the drive, I installed a USB3.0 card and the the drive works even better with USB 3.0. I am very pleased with product.

Price to porformance great
I bought it with further pc's in mind, I current don't have usb 3.0 are all 2.0. I use this one dr to backup 4 systems.

Work as expected
I bought three of these. I chose to buy three 2TB drives rather than two 3TB drives since I was using them on XP (acting as a file server on my network) via a half-empty 7-port USB hub even though the overall cost was slightly more. This arrangement gives me all the capacity and a little more performance and safety since I have 3 physical drives instead of only 2 to share the work. However, I am connecting via USB 2.0 so I lose some there. I am using these as nightly backups of my main drives (connected via SATA and eSATA and much faster as a result) so performance isn't big deal as long as they finish the job each night - which they do easily. So far they work exactly as I hoped, not giving any issues at all.

Great Product
I bought this as a replacement for a 500GB Seagate external HD. Nothing wrong with that one, but with the complete image of my C:drive on it, there wasn't much space for keeping 2 routine backups also. This has tons of space, was easy to set up and works perfectly so far.
