A Bit hard to set up
I installed two of these on two Asus S969S laptops. One with XP Pro, and the Other with Windows 7 Pro-64bit. Win 7 went pretty straight, XP was a chore. The internal lan and fax card runs on Broadcom software suite. I couldn't permanently remove it, so I had to uninstall it. Then load the USB Bluetooth device, then reboot and reinstall the Broadcom software. Make sure you turn off UPNP during this process, or Broadcomm will manage to reload itself through windows. Performance wise, I get about thirty feet around the house.

Good but be aware of an issue
I bought this bluetooth adapter to add bluetooth to my desktop. Its cheap so I was already thinking it might not work very well. Im running windows 8 and the drivers that come with the adapter do not work on windows 8. Windows 8 will not automatically install the drivers either. I kept getting usb device not recognized. The trick is to go to Broadcom's website and download their bluetooth driver since they make the chipset. They do have windows 8 drivers that work. I had to replug it in a few times for the software to detect it but once it did it installed and has worked great since. I suggest doing this on other version of windows too since the drivers that come with it, install a bunch of bloatware along with them.
