Great Cable, not so good software
I bought the kit together with a Samsung SSD. The cable was great but the software didn't work for me (I tried it twice without results then I ended up using the cable together with Samsung migration software ... The cable and Samsung migration soft worked great... (so I recommend the kit (just for the cable) and to use the Samsung software).. it doesn't come with your SSD, just go to Samsung's website to get it (FREE)

Worked great!
Worked as advertised. I simply plugged my new hard drive in, followed instructions, and it pulled all data from old drive onto new one. I then replaced old drive and it was like new again. Easy fix.

VisionTek 900537
worked like a charm on shrinking and copying my dual boot disk (Win7 Ubuntu). I tried WIn and Linux disk utilities and they were not very successful. also tried Samsung and Intel disks supplied with hard drives. this worked the first time without any problems. But I had to use USB2, probably because one of the disks were USB2. Copying and duplicating disks were things I have done before, also shrinking partitions, etc. This was so easy.

Works great.
I cloned my HDD onto a Sandisk Extreme SSD (item S153-0122)in about 2 hours. I had downloaded the latest version of the EzGIG software ahead of time, so I just really needed the cable. There's only 1 reboot needed: right after I swapped out the drive with the SSD after the clone was done. The clone process was straight forward and easy.

Problem cloning with software included
The cable and the bracket work fine, but i've never been able to clone my SATA HDD with EZ Gig software, too many error generated when creating image. Maybe the voltage supply by the USB was'nt enough to work with the Intel XM25 160GB.
