Be warned
This device loses connectivity and fails to responds. Still struggling to transfer back my files because outsourced iomega chat support is as useful as a butter fork. Not to mention they required the $50 for a telephone tech support call.

Not as good as others (like Buffalo)
Works well. The drives default to RAID 1 which I like. Performance seems fine, no different than my Buffalo Drives. Configuration is a bit clumsy. Worst part of the system is the iOS support. I can't access the drive from outside my network. Buffalo wins on the app support.

Good for the money
I got this about 1 week ago. I was replacing two internal drives in RAID 1 and wanted to reuse them. They were Seagate 750GB. I plugged them in, plugged the unit in, and they worked fine. No problems at all. Overall performance is nice also. I have set up 5 scheduled backup jobs and they appear to work just fine.

Do not buy this product !
I have had this NAS for about 6 weeks and it has never worked properly. It is VERY slow even on a Gigabit network. Sometimes you can't access data at all and you have to re-boot it. The IOMEGA forums cant help either. I have posted 2 requests for help. Close to 100 people have looked and my requests and no one has any suggestions at all. Save you money and by something else.
