The receiver cable IS too short
ya, the emitter cables are long, the receiver cables and plug are awfully short. The intent is to surface mount the module close to the tv panel (or whatever) and run the emitters back to the components. And if you're complaining it doesnt work with Dish or other remotes - Duh, do your research to make sure its an IR remote. Most can be easily switched.

Product was a second
The Receiver cable was short (about 3 feet - not 12 feet as in the documentation. One of the emitter cables was 12 feet (useless)). Had to go out and buy an extgension cable.

DOES NOT WORK WITH DISH NETWORK
The product is great if you dont use it with DishNetwork - it should list comp devices.

Works great!
once I got the IR sensor away from the flat screen TV it worked great. The instructions mention that certain televisions may cause interference.

Works OK
Worked great upon first installation but there was a spare transmitter that I could not locate anywhere in particular. This seemmed to cause some ghosting problems and prevented some of the gear from working properly when it was just laying in the equipment cabinet. It was in inadvertently moved and the problems got worse. Had to pull it out and will have to start over. I am certain I can get it to work properly as long as the vacant xmtr is capped properly.

Didn't work with my cable box
I tried all the transmitters, none of them worked with my Cisco cable box.

Will NOT work with Bell Satellite TV remote
Tried two units and both would not work with Bell TV remote. OK for the rest of my system but the range is nowhere near as good as advertised. If you have the extra cash invest in a better unit than this.

Great
Got this along with the Ultra eXo Bluetooth keyboard and they both work great for my new media center. Will buy more from Ultra with these positive experiences.

Works fine on a Motorola dch3200 STB
I used to work for an IR remote company. There are different IR chipsets with each having a different IR signature. Probably works for some and not others. For my needs it worked fine. All I needed to control was one cable box. Probability of working for everything you own likely goes down the more devices you need to control.
