Awesome Card

Upgraded from a gtx 560. Awesome upgrade. This card is a beast. Runs Battlefield 3 on Ultra in Nvidia surround 6030x1080 (bezel correction) resolution at a steady 45-55FPS. Far Cry 3 runs on ultra with surround but only at 30FPS. On very high at 65+. Same for crysis 3. On standard 1080p, this card beasts through everything on ultra. Love the card so far and im ready for a 2nd to get better FPS in surround mode.

amp hungry

i just bought another gtx 680 ftw for my secondary rig and didn't realize that even though i have a 1000 watt psu it requires a min of 38 amps on the 12v rail. the psu i was using to power that rig only goes up to 35amps and wont allow windows to boot. i took it out and put it in my main rig set up in 3 way sli and i couldn't be happier. im not a big gamer but it works great for 3d rendering and allows me to create massive worlds with my applications. rendering a complex animation of a 10 billion polygon scene at 4k has never been more enjoyable. very happy

This is one beast of a card!

This card right now is blew my expectations out of the water. All my games run smooth as butter, including BF 3 on ultra settings. I used to have two sLi'd EVGA Nvidia Geforce 560TI's and this one card makes them very inferior. I would recommenced this product to anyway wanting to get the best out of their rig. Please note however you need a very large case. I have a Full Tower and it was a pretty tight fit.

This is the way to go!

Okay, so the Classified may be even better, but the difference is relatively small. If they are the same price, get the classy. Don't listen to the people who say you don't need 4GB. They don't have it so they say you don't need it. Running skyrim with hd texture packs i'm using up to 3.8 GBs !!! And thats in 1080p! So yeah, you want 4gigs and with the 690 you only get 2GB, plus two 680s outperform a 690, if you have the extra space. The FTW model has 8 power phases, reference has 4 or 5 (i forget which one) and the CLassified has 14. THis means more headroom for Overclocking and better overall performance.
