Very Nice Except for the Battery

Plenty of features. Nice resolution. I do like my new tablet but the battery only lasts a couple of hours. The battery charges in about the same amount of time that it lasts. Over all, for being a lower priced tablet it is very nice. Many free apps to download that costs my wife extra to download to her Nook.

Ok tablet but weak

Its a good tablet it has good games and apps and is fast and everyone likes it. But what everyone doesnt tell you about it is that on contact with pressure cracks it so easy.

My wife likes her Christmas present

I know its no Christmas yet. We always get exactly what we want for Christmas because after 43 years of being married we both have everything we need. A long time ago we decided that if we saw something we wanted at a store or in the mail we would just get it and that would be our Christmas present. When my wife saw the Archos 70b she asked me to order it. Now that we have it and my wife knows how to use it she is very happy with her present. She tells me that she likes it better than her netbook computer. The only fault I can find with her Archos 70b is that it does not support Flash. She loves to play Farmville on Facebook and to do that you need Flash. Except for that one thing we are happy with this product.

Exactly what I needed

I needed a tablet to check email and generally surf the web when away from home and the Archos 70b does that very well. The camera is not the best resolution but I didn't buy it for pictures. I read other reviews that said the micro SD slot would not work and the system wouldn't recognize the card but, mine works as advertized. Buy a retail packaged SD card, not a bulk item if you expect it to work. Despite what others have said about the battery and charge time, mine charged 100% overnight and will last several hours if I don't leave the wi-fi on when not needed. For those wanting a case for the 70b, be careful which one you purchase because most cases that say they fit this tablet do not.

Great Price

I bought this tables for my 5 and 3 year old children, they love it. It is easy to use and very portable. Although, I am having a problem downloading the reading app for books, and it is not compatible with any apps that use adobe flash player.

Great Deal For The Novice

This is my first techno device and I'm finding it very easy to use. Archos has a great tech support chat feature that lets you log on as a guest and ask a question - fast response time, too. Manual doesn't tell you how to unlock the opening screen, so if you're a complete novice don't freak and think it's broken like I did. Just put your finger on the padlock and slide it over. You'll go right to the home screen. So happy with this product I'm getting one for my son for Christmas. Battery life is not as long as some devices, but adequate for casual use. Warning! Angry Birds is addictive!

quirky

I got this for my son, he likes it, but says that you can't do more than one thing at a time (I don't know if you supposed to be able to or not). More importantly, the touch screen is quirky and not reliably responsive. All in all, something else might have been better, even if more expensive.

Just what I needed

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter and she loves it. It's really fast and I'm able to install a bunch of games and apps for her. The only thing on the table which isn't very reliable is WI-FI.

i bought one for my wife that we loved it so much i had to get one for myself its fast light battery last for a long time sd card is an a+++

My second Archos

Really happy with this tablet. Can't beat it for the price. My old Archos tab is over a year old and still works as well as when new. Hope to get the same life out of the new one. I use it to read books, watch movies, listen to music, and surf the web. My biggest complaint would be the built in speakers, they're horrible.
