Works when it wants

The router has decided to choose what we view and when. Often times it will not load certain web pages or will stop working altogether. Mind of its own...

Good but not as good

I bought the router because I really liked the gigabit ports. However, when I replaced a Linksys AE3500 with this router, the range wasn't as good. I lost coverage in a couple of rooms in our building. A signal strength survey with a android tablet confirmed that the signal did not carry as far. So we had to put the Linksys back and use this router elsewhere. That was disappointing. Seems to be good otherwise.

Easy to set-up and use, and it works

This is my first N router, and I'm pleased with its performance so far. It was very easy to set-up, and it works well. What more could I ask? Especially nice is the 7 gigabit Ethernet ports. We have a couple of PCs, a Mac, and two external backup drives that connect via wired Ethernet, and now we don't need an additional switch or hub to get them all interconnected. Two ports are still available for expanding our home office network. We may add a printer to one of those.

Nice Upgrade; Bad Features

Set up was easy and it increased my speeds a lot. Had to turn off the QoS feature that it brags about to torrent files. Frustrating to figure out through the router interface.

easy to set up, nice having 2 usb ports, really nice having 8 eithernet ports also. Range seems ok but sometimes the router locks up and you have to unplug it to reset it to get the internet back, even the wired connects.

OK router, bad high speed range

The basic setup is very easy. The high speed range is very bad, I have to be on top of the router for it to give me good speed. When I'm 10 ft away it already dropped in half. The MAC ID filtering doesn't seem to remember the device name, so it's a real guessing game what is there and what is not. I ended up disabling it, so that was very disappointing. I have a 5 year old router that handles this a lot better. The download speed of larger files has improved with this device, so it streams media quite well. I would look for alternatives if I were to buy another router.

Easy basic setup; Scheduling challenge

Replaced a Dlink DIR-655 with the My Net 900 to get a broader range and dual channels. The basic setup was very easy but the access schedule setup was confusing and required several trials before it performed correctly. The signal range is no better than the Dlink but the dual channels works great with my media devices.

Works real well, but does not quite have the range I was expecting.
