Logitech Chillstream for PC
The Logitech ChillStream technology helps keep your hands cool when gaming gets really intense. Three speed settings allow you to adjust the ventilation force on the integrated fan. No matter what you play, or how you game, ChillStream lets you play longer, play harder, play cooler!
ChillStream Technology
Logitech´s exclusive ChillStream Technology includes a built-in 40 mm fan that circulates up to 3.41 cubic feet of air every minute, while generating very little noise. Because of the fan´s compact size, Logitech can deliver the ChillStream feature in a standard-size controller. Three narrow vents on each side of the controller push air directly onto the four fingers, the base of the thumb and the palm of the hand — the three areas of the hand that need cooling most. The air stream has three settings — continuous, interval, or off. In the interval mode, the air stays on for 15 seconds, then turns off for 30 seconds. The air vents are recessed from the surface of the controller and rubber linings surrounding the vents are flush with the surface — making the vents barely noticeable to the touch during gaming.

I gotta give this some props. This is a very nice controller. It runs well enough, albeit there are conflicts between this and my other gamepads. The built in fans are actually very nice, too. Sadly, the slower (not full speed) fan setting sounds like a dieing cricket or something. It is rather irritating... the fans weren't meant to run at a slower speeds, it seems.

I had this for a month, and it was great for 2 weeks out of that month. The fan had major issues ... it sat around for a bit longer in an attempt to fix it, and then I found out it was just junk, spend the extra money and buy a better controller... it will die on you fast...less than a month.

I found this controller to be a great purchase. I have many controllers that I have bought over the years for my PC, but this one has become my favorite. I have adapters that I use to enable me to use console controllers on the PC too. This is usually because PC controllers feel horrible, but I love how this controller feels in my hands. I've had no problems with it. It feels sturdy and I don't need to carry drivers with me wherever I want to use it. Just plug it in and both Windows XP and vista recognize it. I would recommend it to others.

The look and feel are very nice, and the cooling is also very nice. As for the triggers being an axis, some games will not accept this, however, hotkeying them is possible through 3rd party software. However, pressing both triggers simulaneously will cause them to cancel out.
After one day of ownership, the fan stopped working, and after four days, the entire controller died.
