Choose another fan
For the price, the quality leaves something to be desired. It performs well but makes metallic noise on startup, as if the fan blades were hitting the cooling fins. Once the fan gets warmed up, it runs perfectly and quietly.

Stop looking - this is the one you want
Thermaltake products always deliver, but the Typhoon exceeded my expectations. First off, YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR MOBO to install it. I was ecstatic right away! It will fit in a mid-tower - I did it after about 10 minutes - EASY! And the OEM-style clips went right in - no sweat. Knocked 50-55 degrees off an Intel 9550 OC'd to 3.2Ghtz and it's quiet unless you turn it all the way up and even then it's not very loud. It's such a monster cooler I bought a second one for a server! This thing rocks with 5 stars!!

Waist of time with intel mobo
The clamps would not lock in the motherboard holes AT ALL. Once I placed the clamp over the base it seemed like the clamp wasnt even ment for this BIG fan. It would pop out the ajacent plug every time no matter what way. Bought a different fan half price worked perfectly fine. LGA775

this thing is huge!
Got this fan with no idea how big it would be, figured it was your basic cooler, but it was HUGE! I was afraid it wouldn't fit in my case, but it fit fine. It's beautiful. But, as big as it is, it's quiet and works great. Great price too
