It did not work
i bought this because my DVI monitor was dying, and I wanted to use a VGA monitor instead of purchasing a new DVI monitor. The PC does not have a VGA output, and this was the least expensive and easiest solution. First of all, it did not fit the VGA monitor- the adapter is too long. I tested it in the DVI monitor (which worked intermittently with the DVI connector) and the adapter did not work there either though the DVI connector worked. I decided I got a bad part, and purchased a cable adapter which works fine.

Wouldn't work for us
Wouldn't work from DVI out on video card to VGA in on our projector. The projector would not sense any input from the computer.

DVI to VGA wont work
I tried this and ulta's version on three computers and it will not go from DVI card to VGA monitor!

Great product
This product works as intended. Ignore the reviews of people saying it doesn't work, or isn't working for a 3d and so forth. For the people its not working for I can guarantee they are converting a digital to analog and then back to digital. This just doesn't work. You can only convert from digital to analog once. Meaning you can only use 1 of these adapters. To explain the 3d issue, you converted the signal to analog from a digital source. You can't see digital content such as 3d in analog. Why not buy an hdmi cable? This product works for a user that has a PC that only has a DVI out with a DVI cable going to a Monitor that only has a VGA input.

WASTE
Wasted my time & $$ with this item wanted to view my DVR on 3D TV ..... just didnt happen ............. ran straight cable to TV to view cameras on security system (DVR)

DIdn't work
I purchased this to go from a digital output to a vga monitor for the second monitor and it did not work at all. The digital monitor did not work at all - I thought this is what this adapter was for.
