Perfect solution
$5 fix for a $30 problem. If you have an old hi8 video camera, this is the piece you're looking for to have a firewire port.

Perfect for the need
I was staring at a video camcorder with only firewire, and a PC with XP-Pro, a driver, but only a 4-Pin firewire jack. This product was exactly what I needed, for a very reasonable price. I'm a happy camper again!

What can I say?
What can I say? I ordered the wrong adapter as I was looking for and adaptor for a Fire Wire 800 Card. It obviously didn't fit and I didn't bother returning it for 3.99. Anyway it looks well made and I'm sure it functions fine.

I order this firewire adapter because i had 6 pin to 4 pin cable for my desktop. and i needed 4 pin to 4 pin for my laptop. this adapter is working great. if you already have 6 pin to 4 pin firewire cable and you want to convert it to 4 pin to 4 pin this product is great and cost effective tooo..! seller is also great provided tracking number and product came within a week.
