The card installed perfectly drivers work flawlessly, and it is pretty quiet. You may need to upgrade your power supply to run the card. You will need to run a power cable from your power supply to the on board power receptor for the graphics card.I went with this new compared to similar cards at because of the lifetime warranty and trade up program.

After installing this video card, my computer became unstable and began to have random severe BSOD crashes. I contacted tech support concerning the issue and they tried to get me to believe that the power supply unit was at fault. Nevermind the fact that up until I installed this video card my power supply functioned perfectly. the minimum specs listed on this website are 300W my computer has a 500W power supply. After searching the Internet, I see that I'm not the only one experiencing this exact same problem with this particular video card. Avoid this thing at all costs.

This card still powers dual monitors, and does great job of handling most office type tasks, and some decent FPS games, despite the fact the computer is six years old. I did update my power supply, though...you need at least a 750w to run this card. a 600 watt will result in random resets and shutdowns. I bought a 750 watt way back then for about 60 bucks. Card is still chuggin away, and for an older AGP interface card, I don't think you can beat it. My newer system has a PCIe2 slot, and yes it has a better card in it, and I use that one for gaming, but I still use the older system daily.

My son needed an updated GPU for his HP-a420n. This AGP card did the trick. Now my 8 year old has new life to his computer that could last him another 2 years. The reason i gave it a 4 in performance was because of his complaint of a slight freeze while he was playing Monster Truck Jam. Otherwise it could be that he needs 2Gb of RAM on his PC rather than 2 512 MB RAM chips. This purchase was well worth the upgrade money for an old AGP PC.
very good products for the price

First, the board worked fine. The installation was easy, I always sweat changing VGA boards. I am running XP pro on a ASUS P4S8X-X with 2 gigs of ram. I have not been able to run FlightSim X until I installed this board. I am 75 years old and a private pilot who hasn't flown since 1981 when the cost of renting an airplane became too expensive. I have been flying flightsim 2002 and 2004 up until now. FSX is running great now and I owe it to this board. I'm writing this review because of the review I read before I bought this board. It did the job well and I am enjoying flying around the world with FSX.
