Great Barebones for I7 machine

Built mine about two months ago. The case is HUGE! Only major issue I had was the memory not being recognized by ASUS as compatible. However, the ASUS P8Z77-V board has a handy switch that allows it to auto discover the best setup for the included memory. This is only an issue during your first boot or whenever you update BIOS. Also, I recommend not enabling the ASUS utility for Ethernet optimization. With it on, my upload network speeds were severely limited. Did I mention the case is HUGE? That isn't a bad thing as the large fans are whisper quiet. I am not a gamer but so far my kids have not found anything that will not run in the built in Intel Graphics. Nice kit.. I would build another if needed. Running Win 7 64 BIT.

Very solid safe drive. It's a HDD so back it up. Works well out of the box recognized immediately. 64mb of cache

INCOMPATIBLE!?!

I purchased this and waited a week for to be shipped. arrived at my house and was putting it all together. everything was good except that they give you ram that isnt compatible with the motherboard!!! dont purchase this item

Amazing Deal!

I got this kit when it first came out and was $799, saved like 150 from buying everything seperate. This case is spacious and looks pretty sweet. The MoBo is sleek and looks great under the blue LEDs from the fans. The Proc is fast and easily overclocked with the Z77 board. I just clicked the fast optimize in the bios and boosts it to 4.6GHz. The ram seems to perform well and overall this is a great deal even at 850. I would reccommend a SSD and GPU, but as is it's a great starter and works well. I am using the Patriot Pyro 120GB and Asus GTX 560Ti and this thing blazes! Boots in under 15 seconds from pushing power and stays very cool.
