Great Buy for the Money
Came across this looking for an integrated receiver to install in a home theater system for a friend. This piece fits the bill perfectly. The family has gaming and DVD and a projector with an HD input. The receiver is a a wonderful place to patch everything in and make it work. I would have given it a perfect score except for a couple of minor caveats:First, In order to do any real editing or network interaction with this, it absolutely has to be plugged into a monitor, and an HD monitor at that. The analog out does not display the information on the screen. Projector had an HD,so no big problem, but when I hooked up an analog TV, I couldn't get any info, and the manual confirmed this. Secondly, ALL video inputs to the unit are either HD or analog,there is no RGB or SVideo in, but several HD ins. The audio can be coax, optical, or analog in, and has separate preamp outs for larger amps too. Overall a great piece worth using!
