Didn't work for me
I was trying to replace a magnetic stripe card reader that connects via a PS-2 connector. The replacement unit is USB. The PC would not recognize the USB unit when hooked up via this adapter, and the card reader showed an error (red light) immediately when connected, although the replacement unit works fine when plugged into a standard USB connector. I had to unplug another device to test it, so I am still looking for a viable work around.

doesn't do what I wanted
Was hoping to use it for a mouse. Doesn't work. Will have to return. 3 stars because it probably does work in some cases, just not for what I wanted :(

Works well
This only works if the keyboard is compatible with your system. It wont work in all cases.

Works as advertised
I got this because I have a K.V.M. that works on PS2 connections. This worked perfectly to convert my USB keyboard to PS2 for the KVM input.

Great Product!
Ok honestly guys? Your giving it a low score because for 1, you didn't check with your devices manufacturer to make sure it was PS2 compatible, for 2, because you CLEARLY didnt read what the Cable specs are, which CLEARLY says Connector A is a PS2 MALE and connector B is a USB FEMALE! This is a great product and works very nicely with my keyboard to free up an extra USB slot. I have a webcam, G35 headset, Wireless Mouse, Hub, and card reader and i constantly have to switch between hub and reader. This just saved a lot of hassle and time. Thank you!

USB Keyboard to PS2 Computer ONLY
The PS2 connector is male, with pins, just like a PS2 keyboard or mouse. If you think you are going to use your PS2 keyboard with this item, you are WRONG. This is for using a USB keyboard on a (older, I guess) motherboard with a PS2 keyboard socket. Entirely the reverse of what I wanted, so I can't use it, can't test it, and it's not worth shipping back.

Need to check your devices FIRST!
-IMPORTANT- Your keyboard or mouse needs to be USB and PS2 capable in order for this adapter to work! If you're trying to use this adapter in a KVM situation, your USB keyboard and mouse MUST be PS2 capable. If you're using this because your PC doesn't have USB ports (seriously?), then buy a 10-dollar add-in card for USB and skip this device. How will you know if the kbd or mouse is PS2? Well, unless you can get the manufacturer to give you an answer, you won't. A hint: Newer USB keyboards and mice WILL NOT work. Just about anything made after 2008 would fall into that category, unless you purchased a keyboard or mouse that CAME WITH these adapters in the first place. Caveat emptor.

Did not work
Once I plugged my mouse and keyboard USB cables into these, it was like the devices didn't exist. Could not get my computer to recognize. Was hoping to free up some ports for my internet cellular connection, but that failed miserably. Don't waste your money.
