This CPU is everything you need and more yes this isn't the i7 but unless you are an extreme programmer you wont notice the difference.

Very fast
Used these to build 17 custom PCs for an AutoCAD class in a school. These are the fastest desktops in the whole school now. I can only imagine how good the new Gen3 i7s run!

This is an Ivy Bridge CPU, very efficient and cool event when playing most demanding games (with proper cooler of course). Great choice, highly recommended.
