Great laptop at a great price!

I bought the laptop for my wife for Christmas and she loves it. Now she can be on the computer from the comfort of the couch and with the good battery life, not have to have it plugged in all the time.

Love it

Got a great deal for this HP laptop. It was time to put my old Toshiba to rest after 6 years. It was a dinosaur compared to the HP. I was expecting the 15.6 display, but the larger one arrived. Since I don't have to carry this one around the size is just fine. Windows 7 is much better than what I dealt with using Vista. In the process of transferring all my important data and it's easy!

So far so good. Computer is fast and everything seems to work great. The initial software install (the one that tells you not turn of your computer) got hung up, but it was easily fixed by......turning of the computer. For this price, to get 8GB of RAM and 750GB of hard drive is unheard of, so I couldn't pass it up. Love the fact the keyboard has a separate numeric keypad.

Good Computer, but has issues.

I have had mine slightly over 6 months; it is a great computer, but has had a hard drive failure due to a faulty cooling fan, and keyboard has been replaced once already. Both issues were repaired under warranty from HP with no customer service issues. Just letting everyone know that there is ''history'' of issues. Overall, I would buy this computer again, because it is very good quality for such a low price. The only other issue is the speaker quality, but then I did not buy it to be a media player, but to use for business and it does that very well.

I love this Notebook PC. I stumbled around with Windows 7 butgot the hang of it. Did all the updates. I haven't gotten a wireless router yet so I'm using a LAN line but even though it connects fine I get a flashing yellow light intermittently. Haven't figured that out yet. I have an external monitor connected, too. The price was right,the delivery was timely. I'm just very pleased with the pc and with these guys!

Good computer and a good price onsale

Computer is much better than I thought it would be, I am very happy with it. Not that happy with the operating system, hope upgrade will be better.

Faulty Product... TWICE!

The computer on its own runs fine. However, add the power cord to the equation and you have a nightmare on your hands. The power supply does not give the computer enough power. When you plug it in you get an error message about insufficient power, and your screen fades to black. The second you unplug the machine, it comes back to life. Exchanged for a new machine and had the exact same problem. I am not going to spend extra money on a better power cord with a brand new machine. Select another machine, and I will never buy HP again. (these guys were helpful and gave me a refund after the second machine failed). This is an HP problem.

Not What I Expected

I bought an HP to replace my old Dell, which actually gave me no problems since 2007 when it was purchased. Recently, something happened that kept preventing Windows from starting up, but I managed to get all of my data off of it with help from my company's IT dept. Still, I was worried it would happen again, so I decided to buy a new laptop. It is not what I expected. Performance is not nearly what it was on my Dell, it tends to freeze after coming out of sleep mode and needs to be shut down and turned on again, and the first time I put a flash drive in it (which is not damaged or corrupted in any way), my screen turned blue and there was a message saying it was shutting down to prevent damage to my computer. Generally it does not respond like my Dell did. I'm pretty disappointed, but have no time or energy to return and buy another one.

Not the quality I'm used to...

I love this company and HP laptops, but this one may be a lemon, as the keyboard skips keystrokes, and the wireless signal sitting right in front of the wireless router drops the signal like a bad habit. I don't think this is a bad design or purchase, I just think I got a bad one, and I kept it beyond the 14 day return exchange window because I waited for a PC Mover purchase to arrive to move my software from an old pc. Test drive before the 14 day window to make sure you don't get the same problem...
