Good Router

It was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but it was easy to configure, and I haven't had an issues with it. I wish that it had slightly more range than it does, but it's still a bit better than previous routers I've used. I haven't tried using the USB port.

OMG, greatest thing

Unbelievable improvement over my old 1200. This thing is 'fast'. Setup is like DOS vs an interactive GUI. I just gave it the same network name and ssid as the old router and wham - 3 computers and 2 Airport Expresses found the router and worked. Drag-drop priority for devices or applications made my VOIP work flawlessly without all kinds of 'tweaks'.

replaced older linksys wireless router. Was unfamiliar with the 'bridge mode,' but once I found it and set it up (easy once found) all conflicts in the network disappeared! (I wish setup documentation was a little more explicit about this feature -- would've saved me hours of frustration.

Do not waste your money

I've owned this router for about two months now. It was the worst purchase I've ever made. Since owning this router it has destroyed several gigabytes of data in the hard drive I attached, while searching for a way to resolve this problem I discovered many others having similar problems. I decided to remove the attached storage from the router and use the usb port for a print server. I then discovered you have to install yet more software to control the printer, on top of that it only works sporadically. The media server portion can't find the media and the router itself isn't all that fast. I'll be buying something else.

this thing rocks!

i used to be a die hard fan of buffalo wireless because i thought they had a longest range. but this one killed it, incredible wireless range. very happy with cisco ea4500

The best router on the market

I have owned routers and wireless routers for over 15 years. The EA4500 from Linksys is one of their best routers period. No dropped signal, will stay on for months with no reset necessary. For the other reviews, the reason they are having issues is that they are trying to use new technology in this router, but using old g adapters. It simply will not get along that well. Spend the money and get this router, but also upgrade your devices to N if it is not currently or you will be wasting your time.

Reliable

I had to throw away my D-Link DIR-655 because I was experiencing dropped calls on my Voip phones every day. Switched to this one and it's going great. Love the apps for the parental control. Ftp also works great. I would buy another one for sure.

Easy Setup, Better coverage than WRT54G

Had to power cycle a couple times initially. It was been working great since then. I noticed better coverage inside and outside.
