Not a good experience
Pins are easily bent, power cord is not attached and comes off easily. No pin numbers anywhere on the adapter so very easy to reverse polarity and fry the HDD motor which is what happened to me. All data lost, not happy at all. Waste of money, next time I'd spend a little more cash and get a quality, foolproof adapter. Lesson learned.

Great Adapter
This adapter worked perfectly. Took it out of the package and connected a laptop hard drive from a laptop that wouldn't boot properly and was able to pull all the data off the drive.

Piece of........
So I went to go use this to xfer a customers files to my comp so I could wipe and reinstall windows on her computer. Went I start my comp and got into windows it wouldnt mount the disk and then when I tryed to put the hd back in the laptop it had wiped the boot sector and partiton. She about lost everything if I hadnt done some recovery. So ya it 6.99 for a reason. Never again.

Inexpensive solution
I had to connect laptops 2.5 inch disk and this is much better solution then the USB adapter. This adapter just does it's job. Very satisfied.

Nice (and cheap) solution to connecting laptop drives to desktop. I'm using it with an external hard drive enclosure and it worked fine first time!
