Great addition to storage
worked well out of box. Should have set to desired raid version before moving files over. It also took a long time to switch to raid 1, but did it without problems. Recommended!

Doesnt get much simpler
I actually took down and old server with an enclosure the size of a refrigerator and replaced it with three of these. They work beautifully over the network, you can set up all the same permissions and security, you can set up a cloud to share with other offices what you want and your completely safe in mirror mode. Great little product

Good for storage
It took no time at all to setup the drive on the network. But it did take a long time to change the device over to a raid that keeps a 2nd copy of all your files. I bought the device to be used as a media streamer so I wouldn't need to keep my computer on to stream video to my PS3 or Xbox. It turns out that the device doesn't support all AVI files. Which means you will have to convert all your files to a mp4 before it will stream it. It looks like i will have to continue to keep my computer on. What a bummer!
