KWorld PCTV1600 PC to TV Converter (1600 x 1200)
Good things do come in small packages, this one works great and the picture look great. We use this to insert a channel for Athletics on our cable system in indoor practice facility and they send what ever information they need over the cable system on the channel we take out with a notch filter, they love it.

Works well
I use it to view videos from my Linux PC on an old 27 inch CRT TV, and it works well. There is, of course, no sound, as it is strictly video, so I still need to use my computer speakers. It worked well right out of the box.

Meats all of my expectations for a low price
Since I have an older TV that does not have the ability to connect directly to my laptop, this device does the trick. Basically this device connects to the VGA port on my laptop and the S-video port on my TV. The neet thing about it is you can adjust the image to fit on the screen by moving and scaling. I purchased a Y-cable to go from my 3.5mm laptop sound port to R & L RCA ports on my stereo to complete the connections to watch and listen to everything on the laptop. I use this device mainly for watching streamed movies, shows and music videos from the Internet.

Worded well for me
Worked perfectly for me on a new laptop with Windows 7 on an old TV via composite cable. Some have reported getting color test screen only. In Windows 7 go to Control Panel - Appearance & Personalization - Display - Connect To A Projector - choose Duplicate. Bingo. From there you can use the PC to TV converter remote to adjust to your TV screen size. Hard to read small print but video is good. Worded better than expected.

Doesn't work
All I get are color Bars and no way of fixing it through the menu which is only for setting of a picture, which I'm not getting.

Streaming Video on a Big Old TV
I dropped cable and satellite a while ago in favor of streaming video, and I don't regret it. But I have an older, but good quality (Not HD) TV in the family room that doesn't get used a lot, so dropping a few hundred bucks to replace it isn't appealing. This little box, which costs considerably less than a new TV, allows me to stream video from my laptop to this old clunker just fine. Picture is as good as anything ever was on that TV, and is Good Enough for the Purpose. Another reviewer noted that this box does not handle sound, which is true, but a simple cord from the earphone jack on my laptop to the external source jack on the stereo that's in that room works just fine. Is it like suddenly having HDTV and surround sound? Not even close. But it's great for watching TV shows streaming from N-tf--x.

Good for non-HDTV only
This gadget useful for old type TV only, almost all of HDTV have a VGA input, so you can connect your PC directly to this input for free. I expect from this gadget feature as it should take sound from PC audio card + PC video and then got a signal true audio and video RCA or HDMI output.

Does not work
Does not do anything useful. It displays only color bars and menu options on the TV. Tried swapping cable ends, changing display resolution. Tried all menu options. Even tried using another monitor cable. Piece of junk!!!
