I needed a light weight machine with some power, all I miss is the DVD drive. I am very happy with it

Great for the right purpose

I have a 4 person physician practice that uses a web based electronic health record system. We need computers for staff that can quickly access the internet and run Internet explorer. This netbook does all of that quickly and efficiently. Good battery life and quick start-up. After having this unit for 3 weeks we bought 3 more to have around the office for everyone. Could probably replace a full computer with this if needed due to the large hard drive and RAM.

my husband bought this for me after my laptop died. it is great! it runs faster than i expected, the only real letdown is the lack of cd drive. but this little netbook is so small and powerful, i don't miss it.

99.9% happy with this Acer

I have long been an Acer fan, traveling the world with a netbook that always performs well. This version of the Acer is excellent in all respects, save one. It has ''flat top'' keys on the keyboard and my fingers prefer keys with a slight central depression. Other than that...excellent.

Awesome Netbook

I bought mine on Black Friday, 2011 and it has been the best electronic device I've owned. I upgraded the memory to 4Gig for $15 and this baby runs so fast. I got a good deal on on external hard drive too but have yet to ever use it since I download almost everything from the internet or flash drives. The Wifi works great in airports, hotels or wherever, never had a problem getting online. Like I said earlier, One of the best, most fun purchases I ever made.

Bought Last Fall-Hard Drive Already Failed

I bought this netbook for my daughter for Christmas last year. Less than 6 months after she started using it the hard drive failed. Attempted to to RMA with Acer, but could not find sales receipt. Replaced HD with SSD. Now the netbook is having display issues. Since this offer is for a refurbished netbook I can only image you will have problems if you buy this product.

this is a small laptop not a netbook!

How can they call this a Netbook, it really is a small laptop, I upgraded it to 4gb DDR3 ram and it is very fast, a true workhorse. As for no DVD ROM I have an external one only I have not used any dvd or cd rw in a very long time I download almost everything from the internet or flash drives. I am very happy and for the price I could not ask for more. This is a must have!

Great Little Computer for the Price

This is my second Acer Netbook (my first was stolen, and it worked great the whole time I had it.) When it came time to purchase another, I didn't hesitate because I liked the first so much. Very fast on the internet & does everything a big & bulky laptop does except you need to purchase an external drive if you need one. Very good value for the price.

Too damn good!

I bought one of thesefor my wife, and a refurb Dell desktop fopr myself. I got hers set up while she was napping (it came in while she was asleep) and it was ready when she got up. I had some issues over the next few days getting a wireless adapter to work on my desktop to get onto my home LAN, and she was having such fun with her new toy, I broke down and ordered another! (someday, I'll get back to that wireless adapter!)
