Dazzle Video Creator Platinum provides a simple, fast way to record home videos

Dazzle Video Creator Platinum is a plug-and-play USB 1.1 or 2.0 device that
allows you to record your videos from a camcorder, a VCR, or any video equipment
with analog outputs. Dazzle Video Creator Platinum uses a hardware encoding
chip for real-time video encoding into high-quality MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and
DivX formats without taxing your computer’s CPU resources.
It comes with both InstantDVD Recorder software that allows you to transfer
videos straight from tapes to DVDs, complete with menus, and Pinnacle Studio

Wow. I read the above reviews and bought it anyway. Big mistake. Doesn't work, period. Tried it on both a XP and a Vista machine. VERY frustrated. |

Works with Vista? I don't think so. I have yet to get the software to work. I've downloaded the latest updates. I've downloaded the standard ''Vista Installer''. This product says right on the box that it ''works with Vista''. It doesn't. It tells you that you have to go online for Vista drivers, which would be fine if the drivers actually worked. Save yourself the headache and get something else. |

I love Tiger Direct but this product is junk. I wasted an entire afternoon trying to get it to work on my 3 mhz XP Media Edition machine with 2 GB RAM. It crashed on install, crashed on loading, crashed when updating, froze, wouldn't capture video. It was a nightmare. My second mis-adventure with a Dazzle product. Never again for Pinnacle/Dazzle. |

Software installed just fine, recognized by Win XP Pro just fine, started recording using Instant DVD Recorder and my PC just locks up after 20-40 minutes of transfering from VCR to DVD. Pinnacle support is a joke. Their solutions just run you around in circles. I tried it on two other PC's, all meeting Pinnacle's specs and it won't run at all on one and worked for 1 DVD on the other and now reboots the PC when I start the software. 0 out of 3 working. Hopefully TigerDirect will let me exchange this for something that actually works. |
