reliable, fast and economical
I love these drives, they are cheap fast and reliable. With SATA3, they don't hold back my system from it's full potential

WD Green HDD
It's a nice drive but beware; it's not for intensive use. If you are constantly accessing the drive; get a WD Black instead. These drives wind down & go into standyby mode when not accessed after 15 min. You have to wait about 5 seconds for hte drive to spin back up to speed before you can access it.

Sound level is just a tad disappointing
My boot drive is an SSD which is unheard of (lol). So when I installed this WD Green, I was a bit taken a back by the sound of a fan like noise emanating from the computer.

Great for backup storage
I bought 2 of these drives to replace two 250GB external drives. They run quietly in their new enclosures and I now have 4 times the storage space. For me it was a great deal.

Western Digital WD10EZRX Caviar Green
I purchased this drive as part of a recent computer build. It is very quiet, which is good, but I had drive errors that required three system recoveries in less than a month. It could be the green version of this drive is a little too slow for the applications I am using, or there is a defect. Either way, I have returned the drive and will try the Caviar Black version instead.
