battery is bad.

I bought this laptop because the battery is good and price is on sale. it said the fully charged battery can last 8.5 hours, but it merely lasts for a move that is less than 2 hours. I also find the touch screen hardly works. maybe the batter is defective?

My husband bought me this laptop to use for work about a month ago and I am absolutely loving it! The price was awesome, it was really easy to set everything up and it's super fast. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Just What I Needed!

I saw this unit at another vendor with all the same features just with a 320GB HD and Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I wanted the 64-bit so I could upgrade the memory to 16GB but I settled for the earlier. The experience wasn't all that pleasant with the other vendor. After 2 unsuccessful units came through I asked for my money back and came here to order it and it was even $30 cheaper than the other vendor. Overall I'm very happy with this HP unit. This is my second and even the first one is still running. I enjoy the FIREWIRE port which I needed for my DV camera. Thanks for this and the price! My opinion---BUY IT! BUY IT!

Great product, excellent features at great price

When my 2007 Alienware died, I searched for something to replace it at a reasonable price. While this is not a gaming computer, it has great features and awesome speed. I tried to load some new software, 3 times before calling the software mfr tech support. When he checked it out, the software had already loaded - in under a minute. Wow. that is some speed. My internet pops up instantly, no more waiting. I would certainly recommend this product.

replaced my old dell 520 Duo Core

i loved my old Dell laptop, but a after 5 yrs i just just long over due to a new laptop. I researched various laptops over the Christmas Holiday and finally settled on this laptop. i use it for general office work and do artwork using CS5 which has been more than sufficient in terms of speed and power. Price is amazing for the features in my Elite book 8460P. Feel and qunality of this laptop is very nice!

Great Laptop

I originally was introduced to this model laptop when I was issued one from my previous employer and I was impressed! I have had DELL laptops before in which have had many problems such as with time becoming slower with processing programs along with multitasking, also I came across battery life issues with DELL. Once I parted ways with my employer and became independent I decided to purchase the same HP laptop so that I could have an affordable machine that was very fast at loading programs (4GB DDR3 RAM) and had great memory space (500GB HDD Hard Drive. I love the windows 7 professional system, I love the security features the laptop has, the durability feel and look and lastly the price was reasonable. I have setup at my new desk a docking station for my HP laptop 8460p which enables me to set up dual screen viewing. Lastly for more speed I am upgrading the ram to 16gb which from what I see is easy to do. Overall I highly recommend this!
