Hardware good, software not so
There's nothing wrong with the headunit per se, but if you pay extra for the software package, you better off saving your money, and go with the cheaper unit instead. I have a relatively recent WIN 7 machine, which is regularly updated and maintained, yet the enclosed sw. managed to screw up my registry settings so badly, that I was forced to system restore. Needless to say, I uninstalled all the accompanied sw. without prejudice, and I optioned for a free codec update for my Windows Media Player instead.

Not for some Dell Computers
Probably a good value for most PC's. Using this drive in the Small footprint Dell computers (and perhaps other small case PC's) as an upgrade may not work as the Dell Case mounted ejector button doesn't match up with this drives eject button. Look at the drive faceplate and make sure the eject button is in the same positions as that of the drive being replaced.

Excellent BD drive
Love it. It's fast and quiet. I have no complaints what so ever. Definetly recommend to anyone.

Does the Job
Using it in an i5 Windows Vista machine. Had issues playing blu-ray movies, and still can't get PowerDVD 10 to play them. After updating my ANYDVD to ANYDVD-HD (which I planned to do anyway), PowerDVD 9 will play them. A bit enigmatic, but that's part of the fun, right?
