Blu-ray discs didn't play

Yup, so I returned it and opted for a different drive.

Nice unit but I returned it and opted for the BD burning unit instead. Just wish it had LightScribe too.

Quiet, high quality drive

This drive is exponentially quieter than the LG in my other computer. Additionally, it opens a closes with a nice solid sound as opposed to the cheap plastic sound of some other drives. I put this in a HTPC for playing blu-ray movies and it works perfectly for that. I can't hear the drive when it is playing which is what I wanted. It has played everything I have thrown at it so far. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Great Drive Runs Well

Yes this is only a BluRay reader, but it does that perfectly. Plus it writes DVDs and CDs as well as I've come to expect from Lite-On.

whats wrong with you people its not a blue ray burner READ BEFORE YOU BUY DUMMY there is noyhing wrong with this unit

Doesn't work, no instructions, not returnable

No instructions of any kind. Doesn't work. Not returnable. No help from manufacturer. Don't buy this - it's a swindle

Will play all most every thing you throw at it.

I am happy with this product with only two exceptions. First I found the tray to be quite fragile so I am very cautious and always close the drawer using the button and do not push the tray in. Second in there tech literature it list every format imaginable that it will read. In reality I found several Retail Movie DVD's in my collection that it would NOT play. Of course I did set up my region correctly, and these were not pirated copies from a different country. (my original internal dvd player ran the same movies without issue) All in all I am happy with the product and since I didn't want a burner the price and brand name were unbeatable. I have found that with any brand there is always something that you expect it to do that for some unknown reason it won't. Finally I do think the tray needs to be beefed up a bit, but the performance of this player really makes up for this flaw.

Great combo drive

For you who don't read the entire ad don't give this drive a bad rating because of your ineptitude. This DVD burner BLU-ray player is a great drive,runs quiet and smooth.

Be Careful on Ordering this Item

although it is a combo drive, it does not have the capability to burn blu-ray discs. be cautios and read carefully the product specification if you want a combo drive with blu-ray burner as this item is not, in which i made my mistake. i should have settled with extra bucks on reliable product than this one.
