Best buy out there
Bought this several months back. Day after I set it up, got notification that upgrade to 4.0 was available, and downloaded that. I have been extremely pleased. Several have mentioned the weight, but you get used to that, and it just feels substantial, which it is. Bought my wife a Google Nexus 10.1 for Christmas. Except for the Jelly Bean OS, and the better-than-iPad screen resolution, they are comparable in every way. I would recommend the A500 to anyone as it compares to others at double the cost.

Good Product
The tablet itself is great. The power cord that came with it, did not work, so I had to spend an additional $35 to get a universal power cord. Acer did not seem to care with I contacted them. now that we have it charging and working - it works great and was well worth the money

DOA
This item is supposed to be quality refurbished. The one I received would not boot. Luckily there is a 3 month warranty and the company that handles it is responsive. Acer support is difficult as it is overseas.

Great for the price
This is a great tablet for the price. Does everything I need it to do....EXCEPT..it's a bit larger than most tablets, so if you're looking to put it in a portfolio for business purposes, good luck. I can't find a business portfolio with a tablet space large enough. This tablet is too long. Still, very much worth the money.

Does fine
Easy to set up, a kazillion available apps. No more screen envy with wife's iPad, AND I can use Adobe products, and do file transfers via USB port that she can't with Apple, and for half the money

Not bad
This tablet is a great product for the price. I normally do a ton of research when I buy a electronic, and the reviews on this weren't the greatest around but I was still interested. Currently they're a few apps you still can't get. (HBOGBO and others) although it does have an hdmi port that mirrors onto ur tv. Which is great! Also if u have a HTC phone u can download the pdanet tablet and get internet on the phone, via Bluetooth, in other words wirelessly. I would say if ur a first time tablet buyer give this a shot.

This Tablet Is Now Part Of My Life
I've had the A500 for about 4 months now and, the longer I have it, the more inseparable we've become. It's my portable browser, library, alarm clock, game machine, newspaper, and movie viewer. I even read sheet music from it in one choir. The most impressive part of this box is its connectivity. The full-size USB port is handy beyond belief for quick transfers of files from a PC. The HDMI port is also a huge plus for viewing movies from Google Play on a full-size TV. If I had to identify a down side it would be the unit's weight. It is a bit larger than others in this market and can start to feel a slightly taxing after holding it for long periods of time. Oh, and the power cord is WAY too short. According to Acer, we're supposed to get our Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade starting in April of '12 and a great tablet will only get better. Overall, I could not be much happier with my choice.
