Good one for the price

Bought this on a deal. I like the picture quality. But, when i use energy saving mode, I felt that the picture is not good. So, using my own custom settings to adjust it. Overall it is good for the price and i am happy with it.

Excellent Value For The Dollar

I bought this deal, mainly because it was a recognized name brand (Toshiba) and I am not disappointed. I have other HDTV's with a few more features, but as far as what I mainly do with the TV (Watch it!), it's just fine! Nice bright detailed picture. I'd buy another one at the same price. I recommended one to a friend.

Great Deal But Still Flawed

After three weeks I am still very satisfied with this TV because I was able to get it here for the same amount as lower-quality discount brands go for at local stores. the biggest problem I had initially was getting too dark a picture until after I downloaded the full manual and found out about the screen dimming energy saving feature that was turned on by default. The picture looked a lot better after I turned the energy-saving feature off. Toshiba only includes a quick startup guide brochure in the box. You definitely need to download the full owner's manual from Toshiba's web site before you even plug this in. Standard DVDs looked really bad until I hooked up a blu-ray player with upsampling and noise reduction capability. Sound quality is good enough for most regular TV shows and news reports, but is noticeably thin for movies with a lot of special effects or music specials and concerts.

WAS a great deal.

I've seen other tv's for around the same price now but they are ALL refurbished. This is new for those same prices. You get your money's worth and this is a great tv. note: I said tv. It's maximum res is 1920x1080, and for pc at a 40' that's just not high enough of a resolution imo. In order to have great picture you MUST have a tv that's at least 120hz(makes faster scenes ALOT better) and at a higher res than this one provides. But as I said before, this is a GREAT tv, but not pc monitor. Too bad I HAD to buy a tv first to really learn all this information. Don't make the same mistake I did. Only buy this for a tv and you will not be disappointed.
