great picture quality
I wanted, a good quality, basic TV with not a lot of bells and whistles for a good price. So I decided on the UN40EH5000 since it had a lot of good reviews, I liked the idea of backlit LED, and it was on sale. I do not sucscribe to cable TV since I can pick up many of the local stations with just rabbit ears. The picture quality is great.

very disappointing
I expected so much more from this TV. The picture is not very sharp (my son has a no name TV that is much better and much cheaper, and my old Panasonic was so much better), but this Samsung washes out once you are more than 10 feet away. The picture is very diappointing, it blurs out on even the most minute motion, such as a CNBC person turning their head (this is on DTV , not HDTV). The only terrible thing is the bad Samsung blue ray I bought to go with this very disappointing TV.
