Lifetime maps makes it worthwhile

The referbished magellan I purchased a couple of years came with old maps and now is causing some glitches because of road changes. The Garmin is working well and while the map update did take 35 minutes to download and another 90 mins or so to be loaded to the Garmin I am pleased to have that option rather than buying new maps. There is no hard copy manual so after I download that I feel sure I will find more features. Good buy at the price.

Running circles around others

Bought 1 for my aunt and 1 for myself. My aunt can use it so its easy to use. Lots of functionality and pocket sized and long battery life for walking or driving.

Good Garmin

Beats Magellan as far as I can see!

Product worked great right out of the box. It seems to have better features than the Magellan Roadmate that I previously owned. The screen seems brighter in daylight and you can change your position icon to a different vehicle if you like. It also can keep a cumulative record of your trip time and mileage if you travel to several destinations during the day. The old Magellan that I had did not have free lifetime maps and it was going to cost $80 just to update the maps one time, so I figured the Garmin, which had free lifetime maps and better features for only $100 was the better way to go. I'm glad I made that decision, because I got a better deal for the extra $20 that I spent over what it would have cost to update my old Magellan. Great Product. Great Features. The reviewers weren't wrong. Glad I picked a Garmin.

Refurbished but looks new. Downloaded maps after acquiring sats and tested on the road. So far everything works. Wait and see

Everything is fine

No complaints so far... updates very ez, very obscure roads mapped accurately, all bells and whistles worked fine. Takes a minute or two to acquire sat but not a hardship. Would buy another for sure!

Better then Magellan

Sent for the 1350 LFMT. Has worked perfect for the time that I have had it.( A couple of months)I travel for my job and it is always on the mark.

GPS flawed - Return to Excellent

Bought two of of these refurbs, one for wife one for self. Both worked great - at first. After two weeks mine seized up. Hats off to this site: The return process and payment credit for my defective unit was painless and fast. We own three other Garmins. All work great. I'm sure the problem with the one I returned (remember it was a refurbished unit) is the exception rather than the rule. We would not hesitate to buy another Garmin GPS, new or otherwise.

Great Deal!

Ordered the unit before I left on a cross country trip. It arrived 2 days before scheduled, updated the maps and software. Worked like a champ. This replaces my Street Pilot C330 that went with my son to college. Would buy another one just to have 2.

Well I got a bad deal

Purchase this product two weeks before my trip to Europe. Paid for the Fast Derlivery. Got the product, paid $70 for the European maps. Days before my flight, I realized there is no enough space and that I should purchased a mini-memory stick. I borrowed my friend mini-stick, but no avail. So with no GPS, I arrived in Europe and paid out another $165 to rent the GPS from Hertz. Very disatisfied, that I cannot even return the un-used $70 map and the product.
